Elvis Nolasco has joined the cast of HBO’s new series "Da Brick" from Mike Tyson and Spike Lee.
Tyson and Lee have teamed with "Entourage" creator and HBO show creator Doug Ellin for the new series – which is set in Newark and based on Tyson's early life growing up in the projects. The pilot was written by John Ridley (writer on "The Wanda Sykes Show", "Third Watch" and "Barbershop" TV series) with Lee set to direct.
Nolasco was cast in the role called, "Hector Acevedo aka The Real" - who is a quite menace but dangerous. The actor has appeared in Lee’s Clockers, the futuristic sci-fi short film "White" and as "Jefe' in the film "Low Hanging Juicy Fruit" with Danny Trejo - which he just wrapped shooting in the Dominican Republic.
Nolasco is also set to appear in the upcoming urban-action flick "179 Street" starring alongside Michael K. Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire), Danny Trejo (Machete and Sons of anarchy), Rick Gonzales and Fat Joe. "179th Street" is coming to the big screen the Winter of 2012.
