Hugh Jackman's complete interview with Martha Stewart, Hallmark Channel

On the Tuesday, November 1 edition of “The Martha Stewart Show” (airs weekdays on Hallmark Channel at 10 AM ET/9 AM C – same day encore airing, 2 PM ET/next day airing, 1 PM ET), the always charming, Hugh Jackman gets personal with host, Martha Stewart when he shares his most embarrassing moment as an actor; recording the audio for a love scene with co-star, Jennifer Garner in their upcoming movie, Butter. Martha Stewart reacts with some choice words during their conversation.

Hugh Jackman sharing his most embarrassing moment with Martha

Martha: “What was your most embarrassing moment as an actor?”

Hugh: “Really? You really want to know?”

Martha: “Love scene?”

Hugh: “Oh yes. So, I did a move with Jennifer Garner, called Butter recently, which is just about to come out, and we have a love scene – a love making scene. But, you don’t actually see it you only hear it. So they [the director] said ‘OK, we need to record the love scene,’ and I was like ‘oh, right, ok…’ and it actually takes place in a car in a showroom.  I’m a car salesman [in the movie]. So, we literally got in a showroom, in a car, Jennifer Garner and I in a backseat, director in a front seat”

Martha: “The camera man?”

Hugh: “No camera man, just the sound recorders and he was like ‘OK guys – action!’ and we look at each other and go ‘OK.’ We did it and he said ‘cut, cut, cut, this is not going to work. I can’t record you guys simultaneously; we’re going to have to do it separately.’ So I had to simulate a love making scene with Jennifer Garner …”

Martha: “Like an orgasm scene? One of those?”

Hugh:  “Let’s face it. Yes.”

Martha: “Oh, one of those. Oh, God.”

Hugh: “Yes, and I don’t know what it is- there is no way for a guy to be sexy. Guys can not sound sexy.  There’s no way around it, and when Jennifer Garner is laughing so much she had her head in the front seat trying not to make any noise while I was recording. Humiliating.”

 

Martha and Hugh explain why they know each other so well

Martha: “I have a special view of Hugh. My daughter’s apartment looks straight at Hugh. They can look at each other.”

Hugh: “We wave at each other.”

Martha: “They live across from each other. It’s so funny.”

Hugh: “Martha just said ‘I see your renovations are coming along.’”

Martha: “So we know a little bit more about each other than maybe we should.”

Hugh: “Yes. It’s nice to see you with clothes on though. No, I’m kidding. I’m kidding.”

Martha: “I haven’t walked around without clothes on over there, but I’m sure Alexis [Stewart] does.”

 

Martha confessing: ‘When I’m with Hugh Jackman, I want to be right next to him’

Martha: ‘Oh my, God, you were supposed to make your own [banana cake] over there [points to the far side of the counter]”

Hugh: “Oops.”

Martha: “I was keeping him next to me.”

Hugh: “Yeah, that’s her nice way of saying ‘I saw him sort of prepare this one and thought, ‘No, I can’t let him on his own.’”

Martha: “No, that’s not what I mean; I don’t want you standing all the way over there. When I’m with Hugh Jackman, I want to be right next to him.”
