The only Mickey for Hank Williams Jr. is Mickey Mantle. Mickey Mouse, not so much.
After a ruckus in the media over the decision for ESPN to yank Hank Williams Jr.’s Monday Night Football opener song after his controversial comments about President Obama - where Williams used an analogy to compare an odd political golf game between the President and John Boehner to the likes of Hitler and Benjamin Netanyahu playing a round - Williams made an appearance on ABC’s The View Tuesday to clear up the air.
Another analogy was given, as Hank also cautioned the ladies of the View to never kick a cow turd on a hot day.
Barbara Walters noted that ESPN and her show on ABC are both owned by the Walt Disney Company.
Williams called Disney's Mickey a "mean mouse" and turned and revealed his Micky Mantle shirt, and said, “Disney, ABC and ESPN are kind of like the Spanish-American War, they’re history. You understand that? I’m out of there.”
“This is my Mickey right here,” he said.
Williams also revealed his new song "Keep the change" had over 100,000 downloads since yesterday.
Joy Behar pressed Williams Jr. on using Hitler’s name and why it was a bad idea and that if he had used "Stalin or Pol Pot" he probably would not be in trouble.
“Oh yeah. I didn't go to Harvard. I told you, I’m not smart enough,” said Williams Jr.
Williams shared that he and his song “Are You Ready for Some Football will be free agents as of May 1, 2012.
