Audience members at CBS Television Studios on Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars," got an eyeful of Nancy Grace's nipple slip and marveled at the quick step moves of Ricki Lake, who earned the highest marks.
Chaz Bono and Carson Kressley need to step up their game, and J.R. Martinez is holding steady in the good marks.
Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Maks is always paired with leggy athletic women, and Hope did her first jive, giving the judges a wonderful opener as sourpuss elder judge Len Goodman said, "It was quick! It was sharp. Unfortunately, you lost your timing a little bit here and there. ..However, having said that, first out, first class." We agree, and Maks is always fun to watch. 19/30
Kristin Cavallari and Mark Ballas
The quickstep saw Cavallari dolled up a la Marilyn Monroe, and the reality-TV star pulled it off. Goodman praised her and noted the improvement from the week prior. Bruno went cuckoo: "I've been bedazzled by the blond bombshell! I love old, Hollywood glamor! This performance was twinkling with pleasure," Bruno Tonioli gushed. Carrie Ann Inaba said that "this week was stunning! You kept your hold, you kept your frame. I thought it was gorgeous!" Wow, a dark horse? 22/30
David Arquette and Kym Johnson
Kym is one of my fave dancers, and she is paired well with Arquette. David has the enthusiasm but needs to work on his technique. Carrie Ann compared him to Carson Kressley: "Carson has some competition! That was Carson-esque! What I love about it is the incredible enthusiasm that came out of you. You let it all hang out on the dance floor. I think this is the direction for you to stay in." 18/30
Elisabetta Canalis and Val Chmerkovskiy
The Italian actress and former gal pal of George Clooney is another dark horse. She is partnered with newcomer and Maksim's brother Val, impressed the judges with a big improvement from last week. Fellow Italian Bruno gave her a nice attaboy: "The gears were grinding, the engines were hot. The pistols were pumping. Keep working," 21/30
Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke
The Kardashian did a respectable Jive, and he did it while styled as a surfer dude, and Burke noted that Kardashian is a better dancer than his sister Kim, who was a piece of wood on a past season. Tonioli: "You started to blossom. You're starting to find your own voice. You're having a good time. Your timing was excellent. But I'm telling you, great, great job." Another dark horse? 21/30
Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya
We love Carson but dancing is not his biggest skill. Hopefully he can practice and get better. "I saw improvement, yet I'm not sure what happened to that improvement in the dance. You were a little wobbly. It had good intent...But great enthusiasm," Inaba told the bubbly reality TV star. 18/30
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough
Queen of the night: Lake and Hough jived to Outkast's "Hey Ya," and Goodman was guarded in his praise: "I liked the exuberance. There was a lot of under-the-arm passes. But it was an improvement on last week," and Tonioli liked her kicks, and Inaba proclaimed it the "best jive of the night so far!" 23/30
Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer
Chaz is suffering for not being in the best physical shape, his joints are talking back to him. Dancing needs huge improivement. Len Goodman said his dance was too slow and needed more attack. "I could actually see you in pain, but that's part of what goes with the territory on this show. Unfortunately, you're not going to get a great score tonight," Inaba tells him. 17/30
Chynna Phillips and Tony Dovolani
Phillips did the jive, and the lack of energy and exuberance affected her overall score. "I really enjoy watching you dance. It's genuinely pretty. But I will say, I kind of felt like you played it a little safe. After what we saw last week, I said 'she's going to come out and kill this jive,' " Inaba said. 21/30
Nancy Grace and Tristan McManus
The revenge of Casey Anthony struck Grace, who had one of her boobs pop out of her dress, and that was an eyeful. Bergeron was hilarious: "On the European version, that would be perfectly fine," and Len loved the dance, "'Where's the flash? Where was the razzamatazz?' I don't care. It was a proper quickstep," Goodman said, who gave her an 8! For a 2nd week marlk. Wow. 21/30
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff
King of the night. Excellent dancer and his jive showed he was a natural, and was made for this competition. He has a lightness on his feet already at the 2nd week, he will do well this season. "You have a feel for the music that comes from within you. The most satisfying overall performance of the night," Tonioli said. We agree. 22/30
