Alec Baldwin's Saturday Night Live riotous skit "Schweddy Balls" has found life in a frozen concoction of cream, sugar and rum balls.
American Ice Cream giants Ben & Jerry's reveals Schweddy Balls, the tongue-in-cheek name was given to what promises to be delectable tasting ice cream.
The flavor is based on the 13-year-old "Saturday Night Live" Alec Baldwin segment, where he is in character as Pete Schweddy, interviewed by two NPR hostesses about his holiday treats: Schweddy balls.
Along with Baldwin were Molly Shannon and Ana Gasteyer who played hosts of "Delicious Dish," a fictional NPR program interviewing Baldwin's Pete Schweddy character.
The Associated Press reports that the new flavor, unveiled Wednesday, is a "limited batch," consists of vanilla ice cream, a hint of rum, fudge-covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls.
It's being sold in Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shops and supermarkets.
Ben & Jerry's is now a division of consumer products giant Unilever.
