Italian actor Massi Furlan heads to One Tree Hill

Italian actor Massi Furlan has taken the role of a Serbian hitman named Zoran for the final season of One Tree Hill.

Furlan, who has had a re-occuring role as Giovanni on General Hospital, will appear in episode 906 of the hit CW Network series – which has aired since 2003.

The series was created by Mark Schwahn who also serves as executive producer with Joe Davola, Greg Prange, Mike Tollin and Brian Robbins. It stars James Lafferty, Sophia Bush, Bethany Joy Galeotti, Robert Buckley, Austin Nichols, Shantel VanSanten and Jackson Brundage.

Furlan, who is from Treviso, Italy (a town near Venice), has been seen in supporting roles in Aim High with Jackson Rathbone, Spreading Darkness with Eric Roberts, John Savage and James DuVal. The actor also appeared in the role of 'Leon' during the finale of Criminal Minds.

Furlan, who is often cast in villain roles despite a comedy background in Italy, is expected to shoot a film in Cambodia next spring.
