Wedding Bells: Gene Simmons does right by Shannon Tweed finally (VIDEO)

For decades, rocker Gene Simmons walked the rocker talk and allegedly bedded many women while he was in a long term relationship with his live-in partner, Shannon Tweed, mother of his two children.

Years of turning a blind eye seemed to end on Joy Behar's chat show which saw Tweed storm off after Simmons made light of his storied past.

Now A&E has their own wedding to mine, like E! did with the Kardashians.

The rocker will marry Tweed on Oct. 1 at the Beverly Hills Hotel, just days before their A&E reality series is back on the air.

The KISS bassist popped the question on Season 6 of A&E’s Gene Simmons Family Jewels.

The wedding invitation was obtained by People, showing that Simmons, 61, and Tweed, 54, will tie the knot on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard.

The invite has a cute letter from the couple’s two children, Nick, 22, and Sophie, 19, who jokingly bemoan their hyphenate name of Tweed-Simmons.

“After 28 years of two loose strings, our parents have finally decided to tie the knot,” the letter reads. “Our Mother will share our horrendous hyphenate of a last name and our Father’s life… well it doesn’t change much.”

A&E announced that the reality program will return on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 9 p.m.
