Who cares what some snot-nosed kid actor thinks of Betty Draper?

January Jones\' performance as Betty Draper has been exceptional, so who cares if she has a stick up her skirt? She gets the job done and we love her tortured housewife scenes.
Seriously, the English had it right when some wise old crank said: "Children should be seen and not heard."
January Jones' performance as Betty Draper has been exceptional, so who cares if she has a stick up her skirt? She gets the job done and we love her tortured housewife scenes.
The Mad Men star's former onscreen son, 11-year-old Jared Gilmore, decided to kiss and tell about his "mother" who sent him upstairs, a lot.
"Well, it's an intimidating character," "Mad Men" costar John Slattery told Marc Malkin of E! last night at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences' Performers Peer Group 2011 Emmys cocktail reception at L.A.'s Sheraton Universal Hotel.
He stuck up for January.
"I mean, that's the character. Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a seven-year-old boy [or] her son."
"No, she's a sweetheart," Slattery said. "We got lucky. We don't have anybody like that."
The kid, on the other hand, blabbed this to TV Guide: "Be careful around January. She's not as approachable as the others," TV Guide quoted Gilmore as saying. "She's really serious about what she does."
"Everyone else is so nice," the 11-year-old added.
