Network 'demented' comedy: Sarah Silverman coming to NBC

NBC will get another raw female comic added to their lineup.
Along with roast queen Whitney Cummings, who has her series beginning in the fall, is the addition of Sarah Silverman, the actress who thinks 'Jesus is magic.' Silverman now has found a home for her latest project on NBC.
In a TV interview, Silverman was glad Katie Couric labeled her comedy "demented," versus her choice of the term "retarded" - because it sounded nicer.
The comic, who documented her bed-wetting and therapy sessions at age 13 and Xanax prescription doled out for sadness, is now a network player. NBC is Silverman's new home (Comedy Central had the critically acclaimed Sarah Silverman Program, also based on her life) where the single-camera comedy which will star Silverman as a woman who must adjust to life in the single lane after a failed long-term relationship, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Silverman cowrote the series along with Dan Sterling and Jon Schroeder—the two writers who co-wrote her previous Comedy Central series.
