Indie cult actress Parker Posey makes a guest appearance in the hit Showtime dramedy series "The Big C" beginning Monday, August 22nd at 10:30p et/pt.
Posey will be playing Poppy, described as a wacky, eccentric older woman who Adam (Gabriel Basso) meets online in a cancer support group for teens.
In a "Harold & Maude" tinged story arc, a series of comic adventures bond the unconventional duo and distract Adam from his mother’s illness. But Poppy’s bizarre antics leave Cathy (Laura Linney) cautious about her son’s new May-December friendship.
