NBC's "The Playboy Club" is one of the network's most discussed series to air this fall.

Not everyone is thrilled. Feminist icon and publisher Gloria Steinem is asking viewers to boycott the series.  Steinem went undercover in 1963 as a Bunny to report on the conditions of the club.

In a new interview with Reuters, the 77-year-old feminist icon said, "I hope people boycott it. It's just not telling the truth about the era."

Steinem says the Club, "normalizes a passive dominant idea of gender. So it normalizes prostitution and male dominance ... I just know that over the years, women have called me and told me horror stories of what they experienced at the Playboy Club and at the Playboy Mansion."

Bonus: Historian Kenny Burns discusses his view of the charm of the original club, and now he takes you to the American Black Film Festival to chat with Naturi Naughton!

Hear why Bunny Brenda is excited for the premiere on Monday, September 19 in the included clip!
