Starz 'Spartacus: Vengeance' new Liam gladiator still

By April MacIntyre Jul 14, 2011, 18:57 GMT

Starz visceral sexy drama "Spartacus: Vengeance" is getting a girl gladiator in the upcoming season, TV Guide reports.

Described as a “beautiful [and] vicious” female gladiator - a "passionate competitor—both on the battlefield and in the bedroom.”

The previous season "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" and the six-episode prequel "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena" featured breakout stars Andy Whitfield and now Liam McIntyre. The female leads, Viva Bianca (Ilithyia) and Lucy Lawless (Lucretia) are the alluring central characters in the hit show.

"Spartacus: Vengeance" will pick up the story from the series' first season Blood and Sand.

"Gods of the Arena" was a prequel mini-series that ended where "Blood and Sand" begins.

The upcoming "Spartacus: Vengeance" will pick up after the slaughter finale episode 'Kill Them All'.

The new season will premiere on Starz in January 2012.
Steven S. DeKnight posted about the new photo of Liam McIntyre:

Following the chaotic events at the end of season one (Blood and Sand), Spartacus is on the heels of leading a slave rebellion with the bold promise to make "Rome tremble".  Lucretia (Lucy Lawless ) has been left for dead after a seemingly fatal stabbing at the hands of Crixus and housemaster Batiatus has been struck down by Spartacus himself. Vengeance picks up after the blood splattered finale and promises to be huge in scope as Spartacus begins to amass his army with one goal in mind: revenge.

"Finally we have some pics of Liam McIntyre from Spartacus: Vengeance!"
