The curse of killing off the highly watchable force of nature, James Purefoy (King Lot), struck Starz "Camelot."
The best actor (next to Joseph Fiennes - Merlin) was killed in episode 2, and that's when I gave up on Starz' ambitious fantasy drama "Camelot."
Starz has canceled the series, citing "significant production challenges" in a statement.
The series had tough competition: AMC's "The Killing," HBO's "Game of Thrones" and Showtime's "Borgias."
"Due to significant production challenges, Starz has decided not to exercise the option for subsequent seasons of 'Camelot' with our production partners GK-tv, Octagon Films and Take 5 Productions," a Starz statement said.
Many critics noted that the lead actor Jamie Campbell Bower (Arthur) lacked the charisma and the masculine appeal needed for the role.
