Tatum O'Neal responds to her father Ryan O'Neal's recent comments on CNN's Piers Morgan show about her possibly causing Farrah Fawcett's cancer.
Sharon Osbourne also shares some harsh words for Ryan on The Talk.
"Get your raggedy old ass here," says Osbourne to no-show Ryan.
Tatum O'Neal insists her new reality show with her father is helping them end years of estrangement - even though he's still struggling to say the right things.
The O'Neals debuted their new show Ryan & Tatum on Oprah Winfrey's OWN TV and the interviews supporting the show have been brutal.
Speaking to CNN newsman Piers Morgan, Ryan suggested his daughter was partly responsible for his longtime partner Farrah Fawcett's cancer death and he has also accused Tatum of "faking" suicides and lying about her introduction to drugs and alcohol.
"I just think that if she (Fawcett) had never met us, would she still be alive today... because nobody knows what causes cancer, do they really? There was turmoil during my love affair with Farrah, a lot of it caused by my family - particularly Tatum."
But Tatum took a different view on Access Hollywood.
"I listened to the whole interview and I think he sort of started trying to say things and then he kind of came all the way round and pulled it back and said, 'I do need to try harder, I do need to go further and make the changes I haven't made.' I think he is definitely trying.
"I think that he's sort of come off badly recently and I don't think that's fair and a lot of his interviews have been misconstrued... Nothing's perfect but we're trying."
The actress has also revealed she was just six when she first tasted alcohol, while hanging out with her mom and her 15-year-old boyfriend.
The "Rescue Me" star told Access Hollywood Live her first party experience was with her mother, Joanna Moore, when she was just a little girl.
"We were living in a very kind of unsupervised place with my mom; she was really not doing well. She had had a very terrible bottom with speed and alcohol.
"My mom... was with a 15-year-old boy... She was probably 35. That was a terrible situation.
"There was a lot of alcohol around and there was a lot of other things... and I think what happened is there was a party and I just went around going, 'Hey, I'll drink some of that and I'll drink some of that...' and I just remember waking up on the bathroom floor, going, 'Where am I?'"
Tatum O'Neal also reveals dad Ryan abandoning her as a teen to move in with Farrah Fawcett.
