Stephen Colbert's stalled musical career resurrection was aided by Jack White.
Colbert's comical enlisting of the White Stripes musician was part of his intentions to revive his "singing" career.
Back in 2006, "The Colbert Report" aired a video for "Charlene (I'm Right Behind You)," a track by his faux 1980s New Wave group, Stephen and the Colberts.
Colbert said he would need the help of "a superstar producer" to kick his career back into overdrive.
So Jack White was drafted for the gig.
Also, Watch Stephen perform his song, "Charlene II (I'm Over You)" with The Black Belles.
