Sookie is newly single, back from a trippy fairyland wakeup call. Her man Bill (Stephen Moyer) is now large and in charge, and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) is picking up the ducats of her availability.
Slight Spoilers
It's a post-Russell Edgington world this season on HBO's "True Blood."
Laissez les Bon Temps roulez as Season 4 of HBO’s sultry swampy potboiler premieres on Sunday, and with Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) in high demand from all the straight Alpha males of the bayou.
Sookie is newly single, back from a trippy fairyland wakeup call. Her man Bill (Stephen Moyer) is now large and in charge, and Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) is picking up the ducats of her availability.
Then there is Alcide (Joe Manganiello) to consider.
Yes, Anna Paquin and Alexander Skarsgard’s characters will exchange some bodily fluids it seems.
What I loved about the first four episodes is how the town is now under siege by a coven of witches. Great twist, as the vamps are not keen on the necromancers.
Plus the shifters get more screentime, and Jason (Ryan Kwanten) continues to be...Jason Stackhouse. Eric is under duress too. Nelsan Ellis's Lafayette is more realized, mature this season too. Pam (Kristin Bauer) still cuts like a knife. Tara (Rutina Wesley) returns home to her Rosetta stone, Sookie and Lafayette. Her character still seems to have unresolved feelings for Sam (Sam Trammell).
“True Blood” Season 4 premieres at 9 p.m. this Sunday on HBO.
