A Chicago family claims that Bravo star Teresa Guidice and other Real Housewives of New Jersey series cast members assaulted two family members at a resort.
The Associated Press reported that Yolanda Martinez and some of her male relatives filed a lawsuit against Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member following a trip to the Caribbean.
Martinez and her family claim that Bravo series star Teresa Giudice sprayed champagne in Martinez's face.
The suit also claims that Giudice and others from the show assaulted Martinez’s son-in-law and his cousin Feb. 23 in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic at a Hard Rock resort.
Martinez’s son-in-law, Adolfo Arreola and his cousin Jason Gomez allegedly signed $25,000 settlements that also covered up to $12,000 in medical expenses but never cashed the checks.
The suit, filed Monday in New York Supreme Court, states that Housewives regulars Caroline and Albert Manzo, their sons Christopher and Albert Jr., daughter Lauren and the brothers' roommate, Gregory Bennett Jr., are all named as defendants, as is Bravo.
E! reports that Arreola "complains that he suffered a broken arm, blurred vision, cuts and bruises after the defendants 'savagely beat, kicked, punched, scratched, jumped' on him. He has undergone surgery for his arm and is currently undergoing physical therapy, the suit states."
The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
