'United States of Tara' ends run on Showtime

The wholly original series is the latest from the Oscar winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (Juno) and Steven Spielberg is executive producing for Showtime. The series features the fine work of John Corbett (Sex and the City) and Patton Oswalt. Showtime canceled the Diablo Cody series "United States of Tara" that starred Emmy Award winning actress Toni Collette.
Variety reports that "Tara" is a dead show waking and the Edie Falco dramedy "Nurse Jackie" will keep going.
"Tara," end its third-season run in June.
The ratings tanked to approximately 326,000 viewers for the Monday telecasts and 1.9 million viewers when video-on-demand, DVR playback and repeat showings are included. Variety reports that the numbers are 30% behind last season's totals.
