Tonight we have the final recap and an exciting clip for you – the winning moment from tonight’s Celebrity Apprentice finale.
The 7-Up Retro challenge left us with Marlee’s dilemma, as her commercial was in jeopardy because of Geoffrey Holder's legal mumbo jumbo and John’s interaction with Def Leppard's UK tour manager was not having a "special relationship" moment.
The show tonight saw Geoffrey Holder show up for Marlee’s commercial and John Rich has a successful parlay with Def Leppard about the kickdrum issue. The Brits look at John like he's a bit of a side show. Rich is all business and as we predicted back in February, he will win this. EXHIBIT"a"
Marlee’s Harlem Globetrotters moment is a winner and her personable meet and greet with the Donald and the soda execs was a big plus.
The downside was the Meat Loaf commercial, so piecey and not at all good it made me wince. Their can was not as eye catching as Rich's 80s themed can either. Plus Richard Hatch, such a pompous windbag, so full of himself right to the end.
Meanwhile, John Rich’s commercial rocks with Dee Snider and the premise is crisp and clean, like 7-UP. Star and John were a good combo, and Lil Jon and Mark McGrath are great wingmen for Rich. Excellent choices for people power.
The snafu was timing, as Def Leppard were tucked away chilling in their green room, talking smack I imagine about Americans, American TV, Donald Trump or possibly John Rich's hat. John Rich introduces the band at 6:40, and they have a call time for 7. Cue the panic.
Rich does not panic of course, and picks up the time slack and entertains the crowd with his songs until a bloated Def Leppard rock out Pour Some Sugar On Me and another one of their standards. Everybody gets old. It happens. Except Dee Snider looks pretty amazing still. Lean and mean.
Also of note: Hope Dworaczyk got zero talk time for dissing the Donald and the show. Dumb bunny! Trump's revenge is to deny her the mic, compliments or camera time. Nene Leakes got her talking time in, and she totally bailed on the show! Then Star went there with the "black women" remark and it was almost a sister brawl once again. Lisa Rinna was behind Star and her body language was like, 'yeah, did you guys watch the show, who was the bitch?' Right.
Gary Busey and Meat Loaf - still too much, and David Cassidy was the cat who ate the canary as Richard Hatch was announced back behind bars.
Marlee and John sang their song for the kids, and the audience used the ASL sign for silent applause and it was sincere and sweet.
And then Trumps says John Rich as the winner.
