Actor Jackie Earle Haley is now available for any smart showrunner out there to snap up.
Fox Network slashed and burned their schedule, cancelling five underperforming series tonight in order to make room for new blood next fall.
Exiting the network are "Human Target," which had two seasons on the network. Christian Slater's "Breaking In," Shawn Ryan's "The Chicago Code" (Ryan's excellent drama "Terriers" was canceled by FX this year too) the Tim Roth starring drama "Lie to Me" and "Traffic Light."
"Breaking In" was a new comedy about a ensemble security team that starred Slater. Christian is now 0 for 3 in his new series leading man scoreboard.
The good news from Fox was received for the fans of "Bones," winning yet another season, and it's spin-off "The Finder," plus the J.J. Abrams' prison mystery drama "Alcatraz."
Fox also picked up two new comedies starring Zooey Deschanel and Jaime Pressly. Deschanel will star in "The New Girl" and is scheduled to be part of the 2011-12 slate. Jaime Pressly and Katie Finneran will star in "I Hate My Teenage Daughter."
