To hell with Pakistan and huzzahs for President Obama, per The Donald this morning on FOX and Friends.
This morning on FNC’s FOX and Friends, Trump was interviewed regarding his response to attacks by Van Jones’ political group Color of Change.
And Van Jones, who swamped every website last week with his press release call to urge Lil Jon and NeNe Leakes to boycott the "Celebrity Apprentice" finale? Donald talks about this too.
In an interview on Fox News Channel’s (FNC) FOX and Friends, businessman, TV personality and potential presidential contender, Donald Trump says he is not a racist and the least racist person he knows, on attacks made by Van Jones’ political group ‘Color of Change.’ He also says that he in unaffected by all of the criticisms and is still considering a run for president.
Excerpts from FOX News Channel’s FOX and Friends
On accusations that he is racist:
When it comes to racism and racist, I am the least racist person there is. I think that most people that know me would tell you that I am the least racist. I have had great relationships. In fact, Randal Pinkett won, as you know on the Apprentice a little while ago, a couple years ago and Randal has been outstanding… But this is a guy trying to get publicity for himself by attacking Donald Trump and that’s okay because a lot of people do that.”
On Van Jones political group ‘Color of Change’ targeting Celebrity Apprentice for “race-baiting:”
“I don’t care too much about Van Jones—I don’t know anything about him.”
On whether or not he still wants to run for office amidst all the criticism:
“I don’t think of it that way. I have said and I have always been told, that a very successful person cannot run for high office. And I sort of see it. I’ve always gotten great press and lately, I’ve been hammered. Anything I do. If I go on your show--if a word is slightly out of order it’s like hammer-time and it’s really amazing but that has absolutely no impact on me whatsoever.”
On President Obama’s interview yesterday on 60 Minutes:
“I thought he was good. I mean he’s riding high…he made the right decision.”
On moving forward with Pakistan:
“Pakistan is a real problem because they have nuclear weapons. I would say something that I haven’t heard yet—We don’t give them any money unless they get rid of their nuclear weapons.”
“It’s very much like China. These are not friends of ours. These are people totally in for themselves and probably some pretty bad people and we’re probably going to have to deal with them a lot differently than we thought. These are not our friends.”
