The White House Correspondents' dinner was a who's who of celebrities who attached themselves as guests to various political and news blogs and outlets' tables.
Stars got to rub shoulders with journalists and political types as they yucked it up over all the horrid mud-slinging this cast of characters normally fling at each other.
The stand-out moment was NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" poo-bah and chief Obama griller Donald Trump, who sat with his mouth pursed as Obama let loose the hounds of mirth at Trump's expense.
As Obama smacked up Trump over the huge waste of time he expended in the media stirring a pot of Poi (aka the birth certificate brouhaha), Trump sat stoically as the audience was like "good one Obama!" and snickered at the mogul's dogged determination to up-end political discourse and real problem solving by throwing shade at POTUS.
