Bill Maher is back Friday night with conservative commentator Andrew Breitbart, journalist Laura Flanders and political strategist Mark McKinnon. Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick and film director John Waters are interview guests.
This show will not be boring.
The New York Observer’s Kat Stoeffel interviewed Breitbart over his break with Glenn Beck. The observer wrote: "According to Breitbart, fellow tea partier Glenn Beck first joined him in editing and eviscerating [Shirley] Sherrod's 2010 NAACP speech on the radio, before publishing the unedited version on his website, discrediting Mr. Breitbart on television and calling for his apology."
"Next thing I know, I'm under complete attack without the support of Glenn Beck, who I thought was somebody I could count on," Mr. Breitbart said. "He threw me under the bus."
Currently, Massachusetts lawmakers are demanding Gov. Deval Patrick take down the controversial state-funded “Maria Talks” sex education Web site, which critics say steers teens toward secret abortions.
Friday April 29 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), exclusively on HBO, with an instant replay at 11:00 p.m. following the live presentation. Allowing Maher to offer his unique perspective on contemporary issues, the show includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists, and interviews with in-studio and satellite guests.
Other HBO playdates: May 1 (1:30 p.m., 2:45 a.m.), 2 (8:00 p.m.) and 4 (11:00 p.m.)
HBO2 playdates: April 29 (3:00 a.m.) and 30 (9:00 a.m., midnight), and May 1 (7:00 p.m.) and 3 (10:00 p.m.)
Maher was the creator and host of “Politically Incorrect,” which was produced by HBO Downtown Productions and debuted on Comedy Central in 1993. The series moved to ABC in 1997 and ran through 2002.
