Lots to discuss post Idol, as Kanye West and Katy Perry stomped and lit the stage of "American Idol" on fire last night with stages last night with Perry’s hit song “E.T.” – and even watching on a smallscreen, it was quite something.
Thursday night on "American Idol" - it was elimination time for Stefano Langone.
It is now down to Casey Abrams, Jacob Lusk, James Durbin, Scotty McCreey, Haley Reinhart and Lauren Alaina.
Musical break time saw Katy Perry wearing an LE- piped white bodysuit with a cape as aliens surrounded her.
Kanye West’s opening on the song was up on screens, and then he surprised the audience as he came out on stage in a duet with Perry. Vocally they were very good together.
David Cook also performed his latest single, "The Last Goodbye." The single was released Tuesday and also appears on Cook's forthcoming album, "This Loud Morning."
Cook brought his mum with him who got to meet judge Steven Tyler.
Now, the news is that Pia Toscano is hinting strongly that she wants a shot at "Dancing with the Stars" as he rumored beau Mark Ballas is one of the pros. Makes sense, but we can think of many others we wish would do the show:
Matt Iseman (Clean House), Mike Rowe (Dirty Jobs), Sig Hansen (Deadliest Catch), Carol Burnett, are just a few.
Toscano told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show she was intrigued: "Not yet," the 22-year-old told Idol host Ryan Seacrest went asked if she has been invited to compete on Dancing with the Stars' next season during a Thursday appearance on his On Air with Ryan Seacrest radio show. "[But] I'm definitely a huge fan, so its definitely something that I would love to do!"
Toscano will perform on Dancing with the Stars' results show next Tuesday -- becoming the first current-season Idol finalist to do this.
"Honestly, I was just asked to appear on the show. It's one of my favorite shows, besides American Idol. So, I thought it would be a great idea. I'm really looking forward to it. It's going to be fun," she said.
