NBC's "30 Rock" takes stunt casting to political heights with the former Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice appearing on the comedy.
In a radio interview with Leonard Lopate to promote her book "Bossypants," Tina Fey announced, “I’m going to make an executive decision that I’m allowed to talk about this. We have Condoleezza Rice coming up in a couple of weeks."
Rice is set to play Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) ex-girlfriend.
Rice came of age in Birmingham, Alabama during the civil rights struggles of the early 1960s. Rice since has served as provost at her alma mater, Stanford University, and held high-level national security roles in the presidential administrations of George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush. Rice was secretary of state from 2005-2009.
Other high-profile guest stars who have turned up on "30 Rock" include Al Gore, Tom Hanks, Jerry Seinfeld, Will Arnett, Matt Damon, Elizabeth Banks, James Franco and Will Ferrell.
NBC's "30 Rock" Season 5 finale will air May 5.
