One of the surprises for me yesterday in Seattle at the pre-CatchCon roundtable of Captains Sig Hansen, Keith Colburn, "Wild" Bill Wichrowski, Andy Hillstrand, Johnathan Hillstrand, Derrick Ray, Scott Campbell and the late Phil Harris' sons Josh Harris and Jake Harris was their response when asked about their favorite TV shows they watched.
"Sons of Anarchy" was a top of the list drama for the Discovery docu-series stars who loved the show's sensibilities and action.
FX's biker drama has steadily climbed in ratings and interest, and promises to deliver a season that will continue the saga of Gemma Teller-Morrow's extended family that features the love affair between her son Jax (Charlie Hunnam) and his high school sweetheart-turned-medical doctor, Tara (Maggie Siff), her husband Clay (Ron Perlman) and the "Sons" who look to her as confident, counselor and confessor.
This season will see Peter Weller (Dexter, RoboCop) direct a series episode too.
Showrunner Kurt Sutter is urging his fans to connect on all levels of social media (Twitter, Facebook) to herald the fourth season of "Sons of Anarchy" Season 4.
The recent Golden Globe award for Best Actress in a drama, won by Katey Sagal for her incendiary role as Gemma, has put hope in the fanbase that wants to see her recognized by the Emmy voting body as well.
September 2011 is the month we expect the series to return.
In the meantime, the cast of the show supports the Boots Campaign and the troops deployed in combat who come home with injuries. http://www.bootcampaign.com/
Great organization, please check them out.
