Veteran actor Judd Hirsch has joined the cast of "Damages" for DirecTV Channel 101.
Hirsch is cast as Patty Hewes' (Glenn Close) former mentor who has now bottomed out in his career.
He joins previously announced guest starring actors Chris Messina and John Goodman. Goodman will play the CEO of a military contractor who is put on trial in a wrongful death suit. Chris Messina will play a former soldier who works for Goodman.
The fourth season, coming this summer, went from original network FX to DirecTV in a bid to save production. The fans followed in droves, similar to "Southland" which made the move from NBC to TNT.
Hirsch has appeared on so many TV shows and films, most recently CBS' Numb3rs, Law & Order: SVU, The Whole Truth and Warehouse 13.
