Hold the Scotch and smokes, AMC's 'Mad Men' delay chatter

Ortega / PR PhotosContract negotiations between the network, studio and showrunner Matthew Weiner have slowed the production schedules.The fifth and sixth run details are being hammered out and because of these negotiations, the shoot schedule is delayed by up to six weeks. The series will most likely miss its usual summer slot, but is expected to return to AMC at some point in 2011.EW asked star Jon Hamm (Don Draper) at The Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump about the season’s storyline, and he replied: “I don’t know if it even exists...We’re still in limbo...Usually we start shooting in April or May, and it doesn’t seem like it’s happening now because the writers’ room is not in place.”
