The night belonged to the Karate Kid and "Fat Actress", as Ralph Macchio and Kirstie Alley, the star of that poorly titled Showtime series, smoked the dance floor with their respective partners.
Age is just a number: Ralph Macchio, 49, and Kirstie Alley, 60, can cut a rug.
Macchio danced a hard, out of the gate move, the fox-trot, and the judges approved, with Carrie Ann Inaba lauding his elegance, But Bruno Tonioli always has something off-kilter to add, and for Ralph, it was his “creepy” hands. He won 24 out of 30 points.
Alley left her inhibitions by the wayside as she and Maks smoked a cha-cha-cha that was energetic and pretty darn impressive on the technical scale. They got a 23 out of 30.
Chelsea Kane and Steelers’ wide receiver Hines Ward did their thing, and I must say his costume looked...painful. Someone give him some breathing room in the crotch next week! They got 21 points.
Decent first time dances were delivered by model Petra Nemcova, reality TV star Kendra Wilkinson, wrestler Chris Jericho and Romeo, who was tired of hearing about how is dad Master P got "2's" when he was there.
The ones who need to really practice are Sugar Ray Leonard (whose partner Anna T is amazing), and my girl Wendy Williams, who I adore, but nerves and stiffness took over.
Moment of massive praise for Department head makeup artist Melanie Mills and Team @DWTSMakeup and @GLEAMBODY- who delivered gorgeous, fresh and sultry makeups. Everyone looked so beautiful, and also shout outs to Mary Guerrero and the Hair team too!
These Emmy winning geniuses make all the dancers look their very best. Mills' even invented a special body makeup over the years working on this series that makes everyone's skin glow and shimmer in four colors; no surprise - it's called GLEAM Body Radiance. www.GleambyMelanieMills.com
Monday night’s tally of votes and the scores will carry over to next week to help determine the dancers’ fates in time for the first results show.
