A new comedy on FX is sure to wag some tails.
FX’s newest original series, "Wilfred" is an "out there" comedy where Elijah Wood of the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy is cast as a severely depressed character who's perked up by a dog, of sorts.
Based on an Australian TV series, "Wilfred" is the tale of Ryan (Wood) and his dog, Wilfred (Jason Gann), who is imagined by Ryan as a man in a dog suit, who then becomes Ryan's talking alter-ego and buddy.
Wilfred snaps Ryan out of a deep depression and acts as a wing dog for Ryan to connect to his pretty owner, played by Fiona Gublemann.
The 13 episode series was co-created by co-star Gann who is reprising his Australian role, and the FX version has been adapted by David Zuckerman.
FX fired over a sneak peek.
Don’t Miss Wilfred coming in June on FX.
