Former Alice in Chains bassist Mike Starr – who appeared with Dr. Drew Pinsky on VH1's Celebrity Rehab last year – has died. He was 44.
"It's a terrible shock and tragedy," his father tells TMZ.
Last month saw Starr arrested and jailed for alleged drug possession in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Radio station The Blaze is reporting that the local police have revealed that Starr's body was found in a Salt Lake City home today. Cops were called to the house at 1:42PM.
Back in 2002, Alice in Chains frontman Layne Staley died from mixture of heroin and cocaine.
