H8R is an early-stage CW project which the network has declined to comment on, including when it will air according to The Yoga Shelter.
This week, Kim Kardashian walked into the Yoga Shelter to explain to H8R Dena that she's really not that bad. The CW show takes everyday people who purport to have an unfounded "hate" for a celebrity and introduce them to that celebrity to dispel their long-held myths.
In this series, a woman named Dena meets up with Kim Kardashian at a Yoga Shelter class in the Studio City studio. Mario Lopez is also involved in the show and was at the studio for the filming. "If we can help people bust through their ignorance, I'm willing to participate," says Lisa Paskel, owner of the studio, which is part of the largest growing national chain of yoga studios, Yoga Shelter.
"People are so filled with judgment and hate before they even know somebody," says Paskel. "To take the time to get to know somebody - whether it's a celebrity or an everyday human being -- that's so important. It's easy to be a hater and not treat people with respect."
Sources have reported that H8R is casting everyday people who profess to have a deep dislike for a particular celebrity. Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey (Extra) is producing the project.
The Studio City Yoga Shelter is a studio that offers peace in the chaos of Hollywood and has become a hotspot in just over a year since its opening for celebrities and wannabes to find a place to breathe.
Lisa Paskel and her husband Eric, Yoga Shelter's founder, both spent years on-screen as actors in their own right before becoming yoga gurus. Their people-focused business model sets trends in the yoga industry.
Paskel opened the first Yoga Shelter studio in 2004 in West Bloomfield, Michigan and has opened a new studio every year since, with locations opening around the nation every year. Yoga Shelter serves more than 1 million students and counting. www.yogashelter.com.
