This year Chrysler pulled out all the stops and put together an inspired commercial with none other than Eminem himself, entitled “Born of Fire”.
From Chrysler:
• Chrysler Brand chose internationally-known Detroiter, Eminem and his song “Lose Yourself” because of the message the lyrics represent, which is the ability to be able to do anything you set your mind to, failure is not an option. Chrysler brand, the company and its employees certainly have adopted that principle
• The new tagline “Imported from Detroit” and the new spot proudly features the city of Detroit in an effort to convey that one does not have to cross an ocean to obtain luxury, its available right here.
• Chrysler Brand’s advertisement, “Born of Fire,” shown during the third quarter of the Super Bowl was a perfect platform to launch Chrysler brand’s new nameplate, the Chrysler 200. This spot kicks off the Chrysler brand’s new advertising and marketing campaign, aimed at its rejuvenation of the entire product lineup.
"Super Bowl advertising is about making a statement and capturing the attention of the audience," said Olivier Francois, President and CEO, Chrysler Brand and Lead Executive for Marketing, Chrysler Group LLC."'Born of Fire' is designed to generate conversation about the brand and the new 2011 Chrysler 200. The spot reflects where the brand is headed and pays tribute to our industrial roots."
"The Chrysler brand, the company and its employees have adopted the principle that failure is not an option," said Francois.
