The Kennedys gets Reelz, April 2011 air date announced

History Channel's sidelined and slaughtered "The Kennedys" miniseries will be shown on ReelzChannel.
ReelzChannel inked a deal for U.S. telecast rights to the eight-part miniseries, three weeks after History delivered the shock "we no want-y" memo during the end of the Television Critics' Association's winter press tour.
The series is slated to air in April 2011.
"The Kennedys" miniseries cast includes Greg Kinnear as President John F. Kennedy, Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy, Barry Pepper cast as RFK and Tom Wilkinson is Machiavellian papa Joe Kennedy. Joel Surnow, creator of the Fox series "24," is the executive producer for this effort.
AETN's statement at the time read "while the film is produced and acted with the highest quality, after viewing the final product in its totality, we have concluded this dramatic interpretation is not a fit for the History brand."
