File this under the worst idea ever, MTV is shipping a group of mostly non-Italians over to Italy to ostensibly hit on, barf on or potentially bar fight with unsuspecting Italians.
MTV announced there will be a fourth season of Jersey Shore, and that they are taking the worst examples of American youth to Europe to mix it up with the Speedo cognescenti.
One stop will be Vinny’s family where the little drunken adopted Chilean known as Snooki plans to "trade gorillas for Italian stallions.”
“While the stateside Jersey Shore locales have become iconic for our audience it’s really the constantly evolving dynamic amongst the cast that keeps them coming back each season and Europe is a fresh spin on a show that continues to reach new heights for us,” said Chris Linn, executive vp of programming, MTV. “The cast is headed to the birthplace of the culture they love and live by. We can’t wait to see what erupts as a result.”
The birthplace of the culture? The culture of fake tans, poofed hair, fake nails, badly dressed spandex sheathed women and men who look at themselves in the mirror more than their dates?
Italy has a word for that: Stronzo.
