HBO is close to finalizing a deal to remake the Ian Palmer directed documentary "Knuckle" for American television.
Palmer followed members of the [Irish] Traveller community for 12 years and found out about the secret world of clannish familes who harbor decades-long family feuds.
His film features James, described as the confident defender of the Quinn McDonaghs, who is challenged to fight his cousins, the Joyces.
According to IndieWire, this raw documentary will see production house Rise Films pair with Rough House Pictures partners Jody Hill, Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down) and David Gordon Green collaborate for a new TV film here in the USA.
