Buddy Valastro announced that 34 year-old Delaware resident Dana Hebert won Cake Boss: Next Great Baker in the season finale of the TLC series, which aired Monday, January 24, 2011.

Dana beat out 9 other aspiring bakers who competed throughout eight weeks of tough challenges that tested their baking know-how, decorating skills, and client & business skills.

As the “next great baker,” Dana wins $50,000 cash, a brand-new car, and an apprenticeship with Buddy.

"Dana proved he had the skills it takes to be a great baker - creativity, drive, and perseverance. Through the challenges, he showed he can overcome obstacles, create amazing cakes, and impress clients. He's going to be a great addition to the Carlo's Bakery family," said Buddy.

Dana, a native of Washington DC and Annapolis MD, currently resides in Bear, DE. He’s currently the Owner and Pastry Chef of Desserts By Dana, as well as Head Chef of Delaware River and Bay Authority. He and his wife Netesha are expecting their first child.

TLC recently announced that the network has ordered a second season of the series and casting for second season begins soon. Information can be found at tlc.com/casting.
