‘Bones’ is back with this season’s tenth episode, and it’s about time! It’s been a long month without this Fox show!

Here’s this episode’s summary from tv.com: “The team investigates the case of a body found in a shower with ties to a counterfeit operation. Elsewhere, Hodgins and Angela have decisions to make about family and living spaces, and Booth comes clean to Hannah about Brennan's feelings for him.”

The most interesting part of this episode was the reaction of Hannah to Booth’s revelation. She actually avoids Brennan, who doesn’t understand what a “snub” is. Thankfully, Angela has done some homework in this department and can advise Bones about exactly what’s going on.

Of course, once armed with the information about what’s going on, Brennan takes the direct approach--confronting Hannah about her recent cancellations. The two talk it out in record time, and by the end of the hour, are in a drink-off contest at the local bar asking for more from the “barkeep.”

What appeals to me so much about this storyline is that Brennan is opening up as a person, and Hannah’s helping that happen. The two new friends are bringing out the best in each other, and that may help both their relationships with Booth.

I do want to also mention that I’m so glad the show isn’t going the ‘Lois and Clark’ or ‘Northern Exposure’ route of having the male and female leads consummate their relationship sexually. It’s ratings death to do that, although fans will beg for that to happen. Don’t listen to them! They want a good story, not the end of the current sexual tension so they can find another program to watch!

Hodgins, despite his fears about the NSA, is turning into quite the husband/father. When he discovers that Angela likes the house where this week’s murder takes place, he buys it and promises to fix it up for child and mother despite a generational bond to their current home. That’s quite a lot he’s giving up!

It’s also fun when one of the rotating squints experiences a change. This week, Dr. Cark Edison’s girl friend has convinced him that he needs to be less of a “stick in the mud,” so he ends up asking embarrassing questions to the team, much like what happens on The Big Bang Theory. He has no sense of shame, so he pokes his nose where it doesn’t belong. He hasn’t learned why he shouldn’t do that yet, so we’ll likely see more of this behavior in future episodes.

Sweets continues to make things happen and also to be a comic foil. When he’s jogging in the local gym and singing “Lime in the Coconut” when Booth wants to talk with him, that’s funny. He also gets to explore social networking when the body of the girl found in the shower is expected to be a girl who apparently loves Facebook. When Sweets interviews the BFF who has just de-“friended” her, it’s fun to watch his reactions to what she says. He’s certainly become a vital part of the show.

As always, there's a murder mystery to be solved, and just who that body is that’s been found is part of what needs unraveling. There’s a great comic scene when Hodgins is forcing water through the clogged system in the home, spraying Booth, Bones and Cam with bone fragments and dried blood. Yuck!

It pays to keep track of everyone we see during an episode like this, and just who’s behind what’s going on is a nice surprise. When the facial reconstruction software shows who’s responsible, it was a shock to me. And I enjoy being surprised!

Next week, Bones will air “The Bullet In The Brain.” The Gravedigger’s final appeal puts a sniper into the team's focus as he takes aim at Ms. Taffet, putting others in danger as well.
