It's been a good year smallscreen-wise for Louis C.K., and continues into 2011 with his Comedy Central special airing January 9.
In his hilarious special, Louis C.K. gives viewers his irreverent take on awkward openers for stand up, pick up lines, mortality, single fatherhood and life after forty in "Louis C.K.: Hilarious," a one-hour stand-up live concert film debuting Sunday, January 9 at 10:00 p.m.
"Divorce is always good news," says Louis, as he tells his audience "no good marriage ends in divorce." C.K.'s unique observations were captured at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, WI, and he also waxes about not keeping up his appearances, now that he is single once again. "I have no identity in the single world," laments Louis. On a failed onanistic rendezvous with a "Girls Gone Wild" video, "I'm too old..I'm getting mad at these girls...get the oil off your tits and go study for f*ck's sake!"
On Tuesday, January 11, “Louis C.K.: Hilarious” DVD will be released uncensored and uncut via Comedy Central Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment with over 40 minutes not aired on Comedy Central.
In addition, the uncensored and uncut "Louis C.K.: Hilarious" CD will be released on Comedy Central Records. The album will also be available on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, Audible and most digital providers.
"Louis C.K.: Hilarious" premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2010 as the first stand-up concert film presented at Sundance. Directed by C.K., the film received rave reviews including our thumbs up for an excellent stand up experience.
C.K. is currently touring theaters across North America with his new show, "Louis C.K.: Word," including a sold-out night at Carnegie Hall on November 4. This past summer, C.K. starred in the brilliant FX series, "Louie," which was picked up for a second season after airing just five episodes.
