Chelsea Handler and Angelina Jolie are not fast friends.
Handler has made being the top cheerleader of Team Aniston part of her caustic act, and through stand-up and interviews she makes it clear Angelina is no Saint, as she is normally referred to by Michael K. of DListed.com, tongue in cheek.
Handler's disgust at Jolie bubbled up yet again in a new interview with Glamour magazine.
Chelsea tells her interviewer, Katie Couric, her take on the A-List movie star: "I'm not a fan. She just doesn't come off to me as a sincere woman. She seems like a woman that you'd really want to avoid."
Her pal Jennifer received accolades: "Jennifer Aniston makes me laugh," she said. "She's irreverent and hilarious, and she sends me really, really funny e-mails."
Handler has shaped her show to resemble Colin Quinn's Comedy Central series "Tough Crowd" in the opening, as a bullpen of her favorite comics like Jim Norton (a Quinn veteran), Loni Love and Whitney Cummings all hash over the top tabloid stories, each taking a crack at the celebrity piñata.
"I think it's important to be politically incorrect," she says. "You don't want to be nasty, and you don't want to be malicious. But it's okay – I mean, funny trumps everything in my mind."
Handler's excoriating of Jolie at a stand up event in Newark, N.J., created a viral video maelstrom that put Handler and Jolie back up the entertainment news totem pole.
