Time to play catch up in case you haven't watched AMC's brilliant noir drama, “Breaking Bad,” a series that chronicles a man's descent, first in health then in a devil's deal initially struck with good intentions, soured by power, money and ego.
There is a reason that lead actor Bryan Cranston (Walt) has won so many Emmy awards for this role. Stand-out performances are delivered by a crack cast that includes three-time Emmy Award winner Cranston; Emmy Award winner Aaron Paul; Anna Gunn; Dean Norris; Betsy Brandt; RJ Mitte; Bob Odenkirk; Giancarlo Esposito and Jonathan Banks.
For those who have not seen this series, in no way does it glorify drug use.
Three Seasons Will Air in Order
Starting with Back-to-Back Episodes Every Wednesday Night beginning next week, AMC kicks off a landmark marathon of its Emmy Award-winning drama “Breaking Bad,” featuring all 33 episodes from the series’ three seasons.
Beginning with its critically acclaimed pilot through last season’s gripping cliffhanger finale, AMC will air two back-to-back episodes of “Breaking Bad” every Wednesday night through March 2011.
Created by acclaimed writer/producer/director Vince Gilligan, “Breaking Bad” has garnered numerous awards and accolades, and has been heralded as “the best show on television” (Los Angeles Times). Suspenseful, volatile and shocking, “Breaking Bad” pairs the vibrant look and feel of a modern western with darkly comic moments that show just “how thrilling TV can be when it lives on the edge” (TV Guide).
Premise
Throughout the series, Walter White (Bryan Cranston) - an unrepentant ‘everyman’ - battles dueling identities: a desperate husband and father trying to provide for his family, and a newly appointed key player in the Albuquerque drug trade.
AMC’s “Breaking Bad” Marathon begins Wednesday, December 8 immediately following AMC’s “Action Pack” programming block with the Pilot episode followed by Episode 101, “Cat’s in the Bag…” Two episodes will air back-to-back each Wednesday night through March 2011.
