There is a saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
Executive Producer Frank Darabont is fixing the AMC hit series, "The Walking Dead" despite the fact it is their top series on the network, the highest ratings ever.
Darabont fired the writers on "Dead," which was already greenlit for a second season. Part of that tsunami of talent departing includes Charles “Chic” Eglee (Dexter).
Nellie Andreeva of Deadline writes that Darabont is possibly hiring freelancers to pen the scripts. Deadline writes that this "freelance model" works on Starz/BBC series Torchwood,
"The Walking Dead" first season consisted of only six episodes, its second-season order is for 13.
