Reality TV affects Gosselin kids negatively, regardless

The sum of the reality TV experience and subsequent divorce has left the Gosselin brood in a state of turmoil.

Kate Gosselin gave an interview to "Entertainment Tonight's" Mary Hart about her children being expelled for bad behavior from school.

"Two of my children, no, are being tutored at home, with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum," she said."The pressure was getting to them," she said. "The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible."

She also denied that TLC pulled the plug on "Twist of Kate," saying, "We're sort of still trying to shape it...So no, not canceled."

Living her life in public has taken its pound of flesh from the mother who is trying to stay in the public eye by booking herself on reality TV shows, recently seen on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" where she was the polarizing cast member the way Bristol Palin was this year.

Her ex husband Jon Gosselin has a 24-year-old girlfriend now.

The tabloids have reported unsubstantiated rumors that Kate Gosselin sends her kids to school with old sandwiches. Us Weekly magazine's sources claimed she was making a point. Instead of throwing away the half-eaten sandwiches the kids bring home (note to kids, throw old, unwanted sandwiches away at school), she "repacks it for them in the next day lunch," the unnamed source told Us Weekly.

Jon and his new girlfriend also allegedly got into a tussle over a Taco Bell employee taking a picture of them in the drive through. Taco Bell released a statement to ABC News after the complaint surfaced.

"This appears to have been a misunderstanding that has been amplified in online reports...Our franchisee takes great pride in providing outstanding customer service, and immediately contacted the customer to resolve to her satisfaction."
