Charlie Sheen's life is allegedly upside down, and despite his ability to hire very good lawyers and deflect lawsuits from porn actors, his family worries for him.
Site friend, E!'s Marc Malkin, got an exclusive interview which reveals just how concerned Sheen's family is about the middle-aged star and father of five children who is floundering to normalize his life.
Sheen's father Martin Sheen has made use of his celebrity in many good ways, notably furthering his education late in life.
An honorary arts doctorate was conferred on him by the National University of Ireland, Sheen enrolled in the National University of Ireland (NUI), in full-time studies there back in 2006. A pro-life Catholic, Sheen is a member of the Consistent life ethic, which advocates against abortion, capital punishment and war. He also supports the Democrats for Life of America's Pregnant Women Support Act, African aid group Help Darfur Now, and is a civil rights and environmental activist and a Catholic charities fundraiser.
"There have been no consequences," Malkin's source says. "He thinks he's the guy who isn't going to OD. Either he will OD one day or someone else is going to get hurt because he gets so volatile."
The CBS hit series "Two and a Half Men" has occupied a large chunk of the actor's time, but once it goes away, what next for Sheen?
"But once the show is over, who knows what will happen," E!'s source says. "The people around him now will drop him like a hot potato and won't care what happens to him."
E! interviewed recovering addict Robert Downey Jr. who would rather talk to Sheen only if the actor wished it:
