Ugly Betty actor Michael L. Brea allegedly attacks and kills his own Mother

An awful story from New York City, as an 'Ugly Betty' bit actor allegedly held his mother hostage and then murdered her with a samurai sword while screaming Bible passages Tuesday in Brooklyn.
CBS news reports that neighbors heard Haitian-American actor Michael L. Brea ("Ugly Betty", "Step-Up 3-D") screaming at his mother in his apartment at the 501 Park Place in Prospect Heights, at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Allegedly the 31-year-old actor screamed Bible verses and said "repent" as he chased his mother through her home.
The New York Daily News reports that 911 was called, and allegedly officers came and left despite blood smeared on an apartment window. A second call to 911 was made, and the police returned, finding a woman, reportedly Brea's mother, decapitated.
Brea was taken to Kings County Hospital for a psychiatric exam.
