One of Monsters and Critcs' 2010 TV obsessions is AMC's "The Walking Dead," the Frank Darabont and Robert Kirkman collaboration that features a tight ensemble of actors navigating a post-apocalyptic greater Atlanta area.
The other notable star in this fantastic show is KNB EFX Greg Nicotero's award winning makeup effects, which make the zombie decomposition so gruesomely realisitic, amping up the horror quotient.

Survivor's guilt is the theme of this episode on Sunday, the preview is below. Our Jim (Andrew Rothenberg) is unraveling as he mourns his family, unable to save them. Shane (Jon Bernthal) tries his best to continue leading the group as the alpha male regulator. Last week Shane had to pummel Ed for beating his wife and upsetting the women in the loosely knit new family of survivors who have banded together in the woods.
The episode is one of the best so far, and will also reveal the perilous journey Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the other group are in as they head back to zombieland, Atlanta. One of the things this series does in the zombie genre is really explore the depth of emotions the living are experiencing, instead of making it too zombie chase scene heavy. The drama of the living is as riveting as the unknown lurking undead, around the corner or behind a door.
Episode 4, "Vatos," airs on Sunday, Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on AMC
