Christian Slater is heading back to the smallscreen.
Nellie Andreeva at Deadline reports that Fox has green lit the comedy "Breaking In" starring Slater for midseason with a seven-episode order.
The series is a Sony Pictures TV produced effort which possibly spells trouble for the stinker comedy, "Running Wilde," which premiered in the fall.
Written by Adam F. Goldberg and directed/executive produced by Seth Gordon, Deadline claims the show had "buzz" and "tested very well but ultimately missed the cut" for the fall lineup.
Slater's 2008 series "My Own Worst Enemy" was a decent spy romp for NBC but was cut down in one season. His recent ABC series "The Forgotten" was axed by the network back in March.
