Boardwalk Empire previews, Chalky is tested, Oct. 31 on HBO

The upcoming episode will test loyalties, and center on Chalky White (Michael K. Williams) and the rise of his empire in the black community and his relationship with Nucky, who needs his constituents\' votes.
Episode six of HBO's period drama "Boardwalk Empire" was a study of the tenacity of Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald), the obsession Agent Nelson Van Alden (Michael Shannon) has for her and the mercurial nature of Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi), devoted to Margaret, but easily led astray by his little Nucky.
We also enjoyed the arc of Jimmy Darmody (Michael Pitt), quickly establishing himself as an unemotional force to be reckoned with in Chicago, as he and Al Capone (Stephen Graham) forge an uneasy truce, and work together to wipe out their enemies.
