"American Idol" host Ryan Seacrest will not let Simon Cowell best him in the media mogul game.
The Hollywood Reporter is revealing the radio personality turned producer is establishing his own cable network in conjunction with CAA and AEG.
THR reports that the new media venture that will cover pop culture and music "is in very preliminary stages."
The network would reportedly mine AEG’s "worldwide concert and live venue assets and leverage Seacrest’s entertainment industry relationships and insight as a reality producer."
Seacrest would continue his projects on E! which include "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
THR reports that Comcast Entertainment Group president and CEO Ted Harbert will "assume a larger role in the company following the planned Comcast merger with NBC Universal."
