David E. Kelley 'Wonder Woman' dream casting, some thoughts
By April MacIntyre Oct 3, 2010, 22:26 GMT

Can she play Wonder Woman? I think so... Katy Perry EPA/JOERG KOCH
Original ideas are out the door these days on TV, it seems.
The smallscreen will see "Wonder Woman" once again. Hard to believe anyone could replace Lynda Carter as the Amazonian She-Goddess, but here we are, in 2010, talking about a David E. Kelley television reboot of a classic 70's series.
Deadline Hollywood reported that Kelley will serve as showrunner for a new series project about the female superhero.
Warner Bros Television and Warner Bros' DC Entertainment are collaborating on a new Wonder Woman TV franchise.
Nellie Andreeva of Deadline reports that the details for this Kelley "Wonder" reboot are "under wraps," and no word on who would be considered is yet mentioned.
Which got me thinking.
I grew up with Lynda Carter as "Wonder Woman," and recasting her role is as inconceivable to me as remaking the "Godfather" trilogy. But time marches on. Yesterday, at the Disney El Capitan event for "Beauty and the Beast" Blu-Ray DVD release, over half of the reporters on the red carpet queue around me didn't even know who Robby Benson was!
So you people out there who are old enough to remember our fair Lynda, who would be a modern replacement to cast as this comic book Queen?
I have a very short list:
Katy Perry
Evangeline Lilly
Jessica Biel
Megan Fox (kind of skinny)
Scarlett Johansson (I know, she's too A-listy for TV)
Please talk back and share your nominations for an awesome casting choice for David E. Kelley to consider. (No orange-tanned, bolt-on boobie anorexics please)
